Come celebrate our community at our annual Pimmit Hills Day for all residents, alumni of the Hills, friends, neighbors, as well as local businesses and organizations!

We typically have 300-400 attendees, about half adults, half kids. The festival has live music, a petting zoo, a moon bounce or inflatable obstacle course, character actors Bluey and Spider Gwen will do a short show and meet & greet & photos with kids, a show by the George C Marshall Dance Team, around 25 vendor or sponsor booths, and multiple food vendors. Scroll down for this year's details.

Activities and entertainment

  • Character actors from Princess Parties DC: Bluey and Spider Gwen! They will be at the event from 11:30 to 1:30 and will do a short performance between noon and 1:00. When not performing, they will meet & greet and take photos with kids.
  • Petting Zoo by Squeals on Wheels, "Barnyard in a Backyard": Bunnies, guinea pigs, ducks, chickens, plus a variety of 3 Miniature Alpacas and Miniature Goats! Signs and staff will help kids learn about the animals and how to safely handle them.
  • Musical entertainment by super-local musical group the Pimmit Hillbillies, a group of Pimmit Hills neighbors who have played in various bands over the years, and discovered each other in 2023 while working on their smash hit That Pipe Don't Belong Here! Their repertoire spans the decades, with lots of popular songs people will recognize.
    • Tom Gillespie, guitar & vocals
    • Marni Penning, "banjolele" & vocals
    • Lindsay Wieker, keyboard & vocals
    • Kurt Iselt, saxophone
    • Side note... Scott Moore is usually percussion & vocals but will be sidelined this year, recovering from shoulder surgery and working at the PHCA booth (he is the current PHCA President)
  • Inflatable Obstacle Course: An inflatable obstacle course for kids, with a staff member to make sure it is used safely
